And so it begins…
After 30+ years of artistic exploration and practice, I am in a place where I want to push myself, as both artist and scholar, to new places of discovery and understanding. I am fortunate to have found ways to survive, and thrive as a creative person. I have always been driven by my curiosity and desire to seek out solutions and answers, which led me to start The Chicago Mosaic School and push my work into new uncomfortable places.
I am yearning to take another leap with my practice and a deeper understanding of the language of art. I welcome the opportunity to become richer in my work, in my writing, research and my connection with those outside of my present world.
This year of ‘covidness’ has been both horrible and wonderful. I am choosing to see the opportunities created rather than lost. It is the right time for me to delve into study again, to pursue a long dreamt of PhD in Creative Studies. This blog will record the process of this journey; my research, my studio practice and the spaces in between.
